Robert A. Neiman is partner emeritus of Schaffer Consulting. He began working with Robert Schaffer prior to the formation of Schaffer Consulting. The two of them started the firm in its present form and have worked together to build the practice and the organization.
In his career with Schaffer Consulting, Mr. Neiman worked with leading financial institutions, process industries, manufacturing companies, and public utilities to produce major gains in performance and capability. He has served hospitals, schools, government agencies, and foundations to produce similar results. While he begins with short cycle successes to get change started, he has sustained relationships over many years to work through significant transformations with the majority of his clients.
In addition to consulting, Mr. Neiman has conducted seminars and workshops for the American Management Association, the Harvard Business School, the Institute of Management Consultants, the National Society for Corporate Planning, the Amos Tuck School, and the American Hospital Association.
Mr. Neiman earned an engineering degree at the University of Illinois with University Honors and an MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School. He has published many articles on goal setting and the management of change and is author of the book Execution Plain and Simple: Twelve Steps to Achieving Any Goal on Time and on Budget. He was a director of the National Society for Corporate Planning and was a founding member of the Institute of Management Consultants.
Mr. Neiman now volunteers much of his time to work with the managements of non-profit entities.
