Kris Konopka

Kris Konopka is an affiliate with Schaffer Consulting. She has over ten years of experience in strategic consulting and planning, mergers and acquisitions, change management, compliance, and organizational development.

Kris has worked primarily with clients in the healthcare and software industries and has also advised several non-profit and non-governmental organizations.

She is an experienced facilitator using a variety of methodologies including WorkOut, Change Acceleration Process, and Lean process improvement. Kris is also a licensed attorney in Washington State and a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Kris currently resides in Shanghai, China, where she enjoys learning Mandarin, traveling, and experiencing Chinese culture and cuisine.

Her recent work in China includes organizational development, training, and business development projects for VanceInfo, an IT service provider, and strategy consulting for Green Oasis, an environmental organization. Kris is also a founding member of the Shanghai Chapter of Net Impact, an international non-profit organization dedicated to using the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.

Previously, Kris worked on a wide variety of strategic projects as an internal consultant, change agent, and project manager for Providence Health and Services and several other healthcare industry companies in the Seattle area. Major projects included facilitating a large merger and revamping the strategic planning process for a 26-hospital company.

Kris is passionate about innovation and positive change. She brings creativity, a drive to achieve results, and a customer service orientation to every project.

Kris has a B.A. in Psychology from Michigan State University and a J.D. from Indiana University.
