Basma Ammari is an affiliate with Schaffer Consulting and a management consultant with the Rapid Results Institute.
Basma previously worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist at the World Bank. Since January 2004, Basma worked with Government officials and local communities on methods and tools to improve project and program design and performance in various countries and sectors across Africa. Basma led government representatives and stakeholders in the design and management of projects and facilitated work sessions to obtain stakeholders' agreement on project outcomes, performance indicators, and monitoring and evaluation plans. Her experience includes significant work in health, education, public sector reform, and community development projects.
During her time at the World Bank, Basma partnered with the Rapid Results Institute in their efforts to help jump-start the Institutional Reform and Capacity Building Project in Sierra Leone, accelerate the implementation of the water sector reform strategy in Kenya, and provide support to the Community Development Fund project in North Sudan. In 2005, she conducted the needs analysis and drafted the learning strategy for the Africa Region at the World Bank.
During her graduate studies, Basma worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to evaluate the performance of projects in Brazil, Bangladesh, and Mozambique. Prior to the IFC, Basma worked at Citigroup as a portfolio analyst.
Basma holds a Masters in Business Administration from American University's Kogod School of Business. She graduated magna cum laude with a dual degree in Finance and Economics. Basma is a recipient of the European Council for International Schools (ECIS) International Understanding Award. She is a native Arabic speaker.
